How To Keep Dry When You Go For a Hike

Getting wet on a camping trip can either be a pleasant experience or a dreadful one depending on the context. This might seem confusing but we will help you to understand what we mean.

Picture yourself out on the trail enjoying your hike in the woods. Then, all of a sudden a flash, a boom, and then it starts pouring. If you don’t have the right gear, you are not going to be happy with this situation.

On the other hand, if you are in the woods for a while, particularly in the summer, you get hot and sweaty. You are going to want to wash yourself off at some point.

So now we have the two times – one when you want water and one when you do not. It really depends on the circumstances.

Let’s look at the situation when we will not want any water. When you are out on a hike and it starts pouring on you, you are going to either run for the nearest shelter or deal with it with a smile.

The best way to handle rain is to have a quality rain jacket. Choosing the right one is not so simple but with so many choices you are sure to find one that works for you.

So when you don’t have a nice hot bath around but you want to get in the water you will want a portable shower. You are not going to want to look for a freezing cold lake or stream nearby.

There is always the choice of bringing a shower along with you. This may seem a little ridiculous but it is possible to find a camping shower that is portable and lightweight and which will be invaluable on a camping trip.

As always the best way to get either of these products is to look online. Whichever one you want to go with, make sure you do your research and find the one that works best for your needs.
